Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells for carrying adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.
Trifer-XT Tablet is a combination of two drugs: Ferrous ascorbate (iron supplement) and folic acid (a form of vitamin B9). Trifer-XT Tablet works by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBC is produced in the body, so that body's each tissue gets sufficient supply of oxygen.
Take Trifer-XT Tablet as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, stomach upset or dark coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Trifer-XT Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Trifer-XT Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using Trifer-XT Tablet . Trifer-XT Tablet should be used with caution in children and only if recommended by a doctor. If you have an allergy to any sugars, inform your doctor before taking Trifer-XT Tablet as it may contain lactose. If you have a stomach ulcer, vitamin B12 deficiency, any blood disorder, repeated blood transfusions, ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon), pernicious anaemia (anaemia due to lack of vitamin B12) or folate-dependent tumour, inform your doctor before taking Trifer-XT Tablet .
