AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP is used to manage bacterial infections such as middle ear and sinus infections, respiratory tract infections, genital tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections such as dental infections, bone and joint infections, septic abortion (any abortion complicated by uterine infection), and abdominal infections. The symptoms of a bacterial infection may include fever, difficulty breathing, pus formation, and pain.
It contains a combination of medicines called Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It works by preventing the growth of bacteria and helps clear up the infection.
Do not take AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP if you have a history of hypersensitivity to beta-lactams, including penicillin and cephalosporins, or any other ingredients of this medicine. It is not recommended for use if you have a history of amoxicillin-clavulanate-associated jaundice or hepatic dysfunction.
Before taking AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP, inform your doctor if you are suffering from hepatic or renal impairment. This medicine should be used with caution in pregnant women and only when necessary.
In breastfeeding women, it should be used with caution. AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP should be used with caution in children (aged below 12 years) and elderly patients (above 50 years).
The common side effects associated with the use of AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP are diarrhea, thrush (a fungal infection in the vagina, skin folds, or mouth), nausea, and vomiting. Contact your doctor immediately if any of the symptoms worsen.

AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP helps in managing bacterial infection where amoxicillin is a penicillin that works by inhibiting the enzymes that help in the synthesis of an integral structural component of the bacterial cell wall whereas clavulanic acid is a beta-lactam (structurally related to penicillin) that works by inactivating an enzyme, namely beta-lactamase, thereby managing the inactivation of amoxicillin.
