Apotab 2 Sublingual tablet is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. This medicine helps to reduce excessive shaking by slowing down body movements. It works by increasing the amount of dopamine, a chemical messenger that is needed to control abnormal movements.
Your doctor will explain how to take Apotab 2 Sublingual tablet. Follow the instructions carefully to get the most benefit. Take it in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. You should not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.
Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, oral/pharyngeal soft tissue swelling, oral/pharyngeal soft tissue pain, and paresthesia. Usually, the side effects will slowly go away as your body gets used to the Apotab 2 Sublingual tablet. If they are severe or do not resolve on their own in time, you should contact your doctor.
Before using Apotab 2 Sublingual tablet, tell your doctor about all the other medicines you are taking (if any), as it can affect or be affected by some other drugs you are using. You should avoid driving or operating heavy machines while on this medicine as it can cause excessive sleepiness. Also, avoid consumption of alcohol while you are on this medication as it can cause your blood pressure to decrease. During pregnancy, this medicine should only be taken if it is advised as it may cause harmful effects to the developing baby.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
Place the tablet under the tongue or between the cheek and gum, and let it dissolve. Do not chew, crush, or swallow the tablet. Apotab 2 Sublingual tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Apotab 2 Sublingual tablet works by stimulating the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that is needed to control bodily movements. Because it has the same effect as dopamine, it helps to treat poor coordination or loss of bodily movements in patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
