XZID M 60 XR TABLET is used in the management of diabetes mellitus when dietary measures, physical exercise, and weight loss alone are not sufficient to control blood glucose. It is a combination of Gliclazide and Metformin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiabetic agents.
XZID M 60 XR TABLET is not recommended for use if you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, kidney disease, or liver failure. The use of XZID M 60 XR TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women. It is not known whether the medicine or its metabolites are excreted in breast milk. Hence consult your doctor before taking the medicine. XZID M 60 XR TABLET is not recommended for use in children as safety and effectiveness have not been established.
The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, gastric pain, constipation, vomiting, metallic taste in the mouth, rash, pruritus, urticaria, erythema, and flushing. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
XZID M 60 XR TABLET effectively controls blood glucose levels, where Gliclazide works by increasing the amount of insulin by stimulating the pancreas and helps to control blood glucose levels. Metformin works by decreasing the production of glucose in the liver, decreasing the intestinal absorption of glucose, increasing insulin sensitivity, and allowing better glucose uptake and utilization by the body.
