Zynicor 10 Tablet belongs to a class of medication called 'vasodilators' used to prevent or treat angina pectoris (heart-related chest pain) in adults who cannot take beta-blockers (blood pressure-lowering pills). Angina pectoris is a kind of chest pain due to decreased blood flow to the heart. It is a symptom of coronary artery disease.

Zynicor 10 Tablet contains Nicorandil, a potassium-channel activator that opens potassium channels present on the muscle cells within the walls of blood vessels and relaxes these muscle cells and widens blood vessels. Thereby, Zynicor 10 Tablet reduces the heart's workload by making it easier for the heart to pump blood around the body and does not require much oxygen. Also, Zynicor 10 Tablet helps to prevent angina by increasing oxygen and blood supply to the heart muscle by widening coronary arteries within the heart.

Take Zynicor 10 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Zynicor 10 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Some people may experience headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, weakness, flushing (reddening of the skin) or very fast, forceful or uneven heartbeat. Most of these side effects of Zynicor 10 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Zynicor 10 Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Do not take Zynicor 10 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and consult a doctor. Zynicor 10 Tablet is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness were not established. Drive only if you are alert as Zynicor 10 Tablet may cause dizziness or weakness. Avoid alcohol consumption with Zynicor 10 Tablet as it may cause severely low blood pressure. Directions for Use

Take Zynicor 10 Tablet with or without food as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it.

Do not take Zynicor 10 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and consult a doctor. Zynicor 10 Tablet is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness were not established. Drive only if you are alert as Zynicor 10 Tablet may cause dizziness or weakness. Avoid alcohol consumption with Zynicor 10 Tablet as it may cause severely low blood pressure. Avoid taking vardenafil, sildenafil, tadalafil and riociguat with Zynicor 10 Tablet as it may affect blood pressure. If you notice in blood in stools while taking Zynicor 10 Tablet , inform your doctor immediately as it may be due to ulcers in the stomach, intestines or back passage.
