E FLO contains Fluorometholone which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. It is used to manage ocular conditions such as inflammation of the eye due to injury, swelling, itching, redness, irritation, ocular trauma, conjunctivitis, and post-surgery.
Before using E FLO inform your doctor if you have blurred vision or other visual disturbances, eye infection, have or have been previously manageed for herpes simplex, wear soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses. If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using E FLO and it is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as safety is not established. Consult your doctor before using E FLO.
E FLO is not recommended for use in children (under 2 years of age) due to lack of safety and effectiveness. It should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above). Consult your doctor before using E FLO. The most common side effects of using E FLO are increased pressure inside the eye, eye pain, eye irritation, an excess of tears, eye infection, itching or redness of the eye. Consult your physician if any of the symptom worsens.
E FLO works by blocking the release of certain chemicals (called prostaglandins) that causes pain and inflammation. Also, it helps to relieve the symptoms such as itching and redness of the eye.
Use E FLO as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. It is for ophthalmic use only. Before applying, tilt your head back and look upward. Gently pull the lower eyelid to form a small pocket. Squeeze the upturned dropper bottle to release a drop into your eye. Release the lower lid and close your eye for 30 seconds. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age and severity of the condition.
Stop using E FLO and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Eye pain:
Do not touch or rub your eyes. Wear sunglasses while going outside. Do not strain your eyes by watching bright screen for long time. Take enough sleep to give rest to your body and eyes. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Eye irritation:
Wear sunglasses while going outside. Rinse your eyes with preservative-free saline water or place a cold or damp washcloth over your closed eye. Try not to rub your eyes and consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using E FLO.
E FLO is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as safety data is not established. Consult your doctor before using E FLO.
Do not drive or operate any machines if you experience blurred vision after using E FLO.
Do not use E FLO if you are allergic to Fluorometholone or benzalkonium chloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before using E FLO, inform your doctor if you are using or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, vitamin supplement or herbal products.
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally use too much of E FLO, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
