Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER is used in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). It helps to improve walking ability in people with multiple sclerosis.
You should take it in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. But, before taking it report to doctor if you have any known allergy to this medication or if you have any history of seizures or kidney problems.
It may cause urinary tract infection, sleep disturbance and headache as its side effects. Dizziness may also occur, so you should not drive or do anything that need focus.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the brain and spinal cord in which a person’s own immune system attacks the protective sheath (called myelin) of the nerves. This leads to symptoms such as vision loss, pain, fatigue, and improper coordination. Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER helps to suppress the body’s immune system, thereby reducing the progression of the disease. It reduces the inflammation of the damaged nerves, prevents further damage, and stabilizes your immune system. It improves muscle strength and helps the patients to walk better. This makes the patients more confident and enhances their quality of life.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER is a potassium channel blocker. It works by strengthening the communication between nerves and muscles. This results in improved muscle activity – in this case, walking – in people with multiple sclerosis.
